Financial Director, Gary Mulder, along with other golfers affiliated to the JDI Foundation turned out at the Westlake Golf Course on Friday, 2 December 2016 for the annual Club Travel/JDI Golf Day.   This year’s beneficiary was Paedspal Paediatric Palliative Care. Paedspal is a public-private partnership programme that provides care and support for children living with life threatening and life limiting illnesses in the Western Cape.  The name is a play on words with the ‘pal’ being a shortening of the word ‘palliative’ as well as a colloquial word for ‘friend’.   Paediatric Palliative Care is a rapidly developing new approach to care, organised in some places as a speciality, to improve the care of children with life-limiting conditions.   The day was a huge success, raising the incredible amount of R114 950 through the tremendous support of our players and friends at Turkish Airlines, who donated 2 business class tickets which were auctioned and helped raise R53 000.   It was a fun day and well supported by sponsors and, in particular, Club Travel and its suppliers along with the JDI Foundation.
